YMCA Liverpool produces a monthly timetable of activities for all service users, as well as weekly visits to the therapeutic and horticulture project Dutch Farm.
Activities that service users can get involved in include; archery, art therapy, cooking on a budget, film making and music. Service users also have access to accredited and non-accredited further learning courses and support from our Learning and Development Team. To help service users sustain and be ready for independent living we run a course called It’s Your Move, which includes sessions such as living skills, finances and viewing tenancies. For support with more complex issues YMCA Liverpool runs alcohol and drugs harm reduction groups and residents can also access alcohol nurses and a practice community nurses who visit the Service. Regular sessions and drop ins from other agencies such as Citizens Advice Bureau, Addaction, recovery specialists and health specialists are timetabled into our activities calendar.
We work in partnership with The Healing Space Liverpool and Compass Counselling to offer holistic, therapeutic interventions to people supported.
