YMCA Liverpool produces a monthly timetable of activities for its residents in all of our accommodation, as well as 4 weekly visits to the therapeutic and horticulture project Dutch Farm.
Activities that residents can get involved in include; archery, art therapy, cooking on a budget, film making and music. Residents also have access to accredited and non-accredited further learning course and support from our Learning and Development Team. To help residents sustain and be ready for independent living we run a course called It’s Your Move, which includes sessions such as living skills, finances and viewing tenancies. For support with more complex issues YMCA Liverpool runs alcohol and drugs harm reduction groups and residents can also access alcohol nurses and a practice community nurses who visit the Service. Regular sessions and drop ins from other agencies such as Citizens Advice Bureau, Addiction, recovery specialists and health specialists are timetabled into our activities calendar.
