Liverpool YMCA

N came to stay at the Liverpool YMCA as part of the cold weather provision, when he arrived he was suffering from the effects of rough sleeping through the winter months as well as a life time of battling addiction.
N was suffering from an abscess in his right leg; this had been operated, on prior to him coming to stay with us. After being with us for 2 weeks, his mobility returned as the swelling reduced. N had been with us once before and in that time had built up high rent arrears. In order to help him progress the Liverpool YMCA took the decision to write this debt off.
N began to attend our "get into reading" workshop where he progressed well, this has helped keep N busy, building his confidence and reading skills, whilst meeting new people. N has now moved up into his own self contained flat, and is now planning towards moving back into the community in the not too distant future
