The healthy eating project is a 6 week course, run by the NHS community food workers, set up as a direct result of member consultation

 What Community Food Workers do
The aim of the foodworker team is to raise awareness of the link between diet and health. This is done by promoting ‘The balance of good health', and developing the cooking skills of local people to enable them put the theory of dietary change into practice.

Community Food Workers offer:
General Information on a healthy diet
Conduct practical cooking sessions
The opportunity to taste new foods or recipes
Information on how to adapt recipes to make them healthier
How to eat a healthy diet when living on a limited incomeThe Foodworkers are unable to answer questions in relation to your diet and specific medical conditions e.g. diabetes.
